Performing in the MS Play was a fun experience! The actors put time and effort into each rehearsal and persisted in getting into their characters to put on two fantastic shows. Both shows were packed with people! Our energy was on point that brought on a great performance!
This year’s play, Alice was an adaptation of the story Alice in Wonderland. Each part was split between two cast members. One cast member for his/her part performed on either Friday 8/24 at 7:00 pm, or Sunday 8/26 at 2:00 pm in the Honickman Auditorium.
Ever since the auditions, I have been very excited to partake in the play! My role was assigned to the Mad Hatter on the Sunday show. In order to block everyone’s own character, we played an improv game in the beginning of every rehearsal. In order to get myself into character, I had to think and act like how I supposed the Mad Hatter would. Life got pretty interesting for a while. But the show was fantastic overall!
Anyway, it was not just the actors who made this show incredible. The directors Mrs. Joanna Rominger and Mrs. Kristen Donches put all their time and effort into putting this show together. Stage crew was also really big help with getting the props set. And lighting is most appreciated as well. This show would not have been possible without any of them.
